The Policy and Secretariat Services & Support of the Listing Department is responsible for implementing the policy agenda set by the Listing Committee, and coordinating policy initiatives and developments on matters affecting listing applicants, listed companies and the operation of Listing.  It is also responsible for providing secretariat support to the Listing Committee and the Listing Appeals Committee.  In addition, it assists with Listing's reporting obligations, provides research support and data analysis, and also monitors the implementation of the Exchange's administrative, policy and support initiatives.  The successful incumbent is expected to:
Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal, regulatory and general research

  • Analyse legal and regulatory issues and prepare advice and regulatory alerts

  • Undertake various data analyses

  • Support a range of listing policy projects initiatives
  • University degree in law or related professional discipline or equivalent

  • At least 2 years' experience since graduation, preferably in well-established financial organisations or private practice

  • Knowledge of the Listing Rules, including an understanding of the interaction between the Rules and other regulations, rules or legislation, the underlying principles, relevant precedents and published interpretations

  • Experience in preparing internal reports and working independently, strong drafting skills (in English) an advantage

  • Strong research skills, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of computer applications (e.g. Windows, MS Word, and Excel)

  • High standards of integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics

  • Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
