Legal Counsel, AVP - Financial Institution, Global Operations
Your new company
A financial institution is offering an opportunity for a lawyer to join their legal team based in Hong Kong. Their legal team has 13 lawyers all reporting to the Head of Legal. Our client's mission is to leverage its parent company's extensive network, connections, and sound understanding of the markets to become a market leader in their sector.
Your new role
Your role will provide legal support to the business and its subsidiaries to advise on the group's affairs as a corporate entity and to assist other departments as and when required. You will be based in their Hong Kong office and will work very closely with the other members of the legal team to supporting the businesses' public and private subsidiaries. You will handle day to day legal matters including HK Listing Rules and Securities and Futures Ordinance with respect to financial reporting, notifiable transactions, connected transactions and other matters such as advising on general corporate commercial matters.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be a HK qualified lawyer with at least 2 years' experience in corporate law and regulatory compliance with a leading law firm. You must have a strong knowledge of the HK Listing Rules, SFO and related regulatory compliance requirements. You must also have excellent communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. (Speaking, reading and writing)
