Our client based in Reading , Berkshire are a nationwide distributor of insulation and interior building products to the UK construction industry and part of a leading FTSE100 Group . They are looking for an enthusiastic experienced Credit Controller to join a busy and growing team . What do you need to have? Minimum 3 years experience of credit control/customer services team, including risk assessment and setting of credit limits, also good working knowledge of business financial statements and their interpretation for Credit Risk. If so our client is looking for a Credit Controller to join their team based in Reading and I would love to hear from you . You'll be responsible for working with the Credit Services Supervisor contributing to the development and maintenance of an efficient Credit Services Department. Helping to maximise sales growth whilst minimising debtor days, prior column debts and bad debts. You'll be responsible for: Be responsible for the collection and management of the Nationals Ledger, working closely with the Credit Services Supervisor and Nationals Team ensuring overdues collected and disputes resolved in a timely manner. Support the Credit Control Supervisor and Credit Manager with the integration of any new processes in line with change plans, whilst proactively working with contacts throughout the business in order to ensure successful implementation. Assist Credit Control Supervisor to ensure that credit staff carry out their daily duties in accordance with Group Credit Policy encouraging a high level of motivation to ensure an effective service is delivered. Escalate, where appropriate, accounts deemed to be of high risk or concern to Credit Manager. Assist with credit requests for credit limits up to £100K ensuring that all due diligence has been carried out and that the supporting documentation is obtained in accordance with company policy, and accounts escalated where further support is needed. Assist the Credit Services Supervisor to ensure the allocation of work across the department is distributed evenly and the team are supported to achieve business objectives working closely with credit team, branch and sales teams to grow profit and reduce late payments/bad debts. Assist Credit Services Supervisor with overseeing the Credit Admin Team (maternity cover) with the opening of new accounts, allocation of cash, monthly bank reconciliations in line with agreed SLA's.
