Preparation of accounts and corporate tax returns Bookkeeping and VAT Small element of Audit assignments We are working with a long-standing, Harrow based accountancy practice who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their Audit and Accounts team. The role: - Accounts preparation, with corporation tax work included. - Some audit work - The client base ranges from some small sole traders through to Medium sized companies. Initially the work would revolve predominantly around the small owner managed business client base, preparing year-end accounts from records provided by the client - Bookkeeping and VAT returns Requirements: - AAT qualified, ACCA part qualified or equivalent - Should be able to prepare accounts to Trial Balance and undertake Balance Sheet reconciliations such as bank, PAYE and VAT competently. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Knowledge of Iris Accounts and Tax, Sage, Quickbooks and Xero would be an advantage, although not essential, any additional systems training would be provided
