Bookkeeper - £20,000-£23,000 REED are currently recruiting on behalf of a forward thinking, growing and established company based in the outskirts of Brighton. This is a great opportunity for a knowledgeable Bookkeeper looking to take the next step in their career. You will be part of a busy, easy going and fun working environment, meaning a hard worker with great communication skills would fit right into the office environment. Your duties will include:
• Carry out the daily bookkeeping tasks in Xero including the maintenance of our Xero accounting package, monthly payroll and cashflow monitoring
• Produce invoices and applications for payments for our contract work
• Maintain purchase and sales ledger
• Perform bank and other reconciliations
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Analyse and code expenses incurred by staff
• Assist in the production of divisional accounts - profit and loss, balance sheets, forecast, administrative costs analysis
• Complete ad hoc tasks and analysis Skills required:
• A knowledge of developer contracts, purchase orders and Applications For Payment would be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Xero is essential
• Driven and able to show initiative on a diverse range of tasks
• Strong communication skills and liase with suppliers and clients
