Job Opportunity The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for overseeing the preparation and completion of monthly accounts and year-end processes and all financial accounting in a fast paced, tightly controlled and ever-changing environment. Responsible for ensuring appropriate processes and control documentation is in place. Promoting the continuous review of processes to ensure minimised risk and maximised efficiency. Responsible for the overseeing the preparation of the monthly management accounts and financial report submissions as required. Managing a team to ensure timely and accurate reporting in line with Group deadlines and policies. Managing the AP/AR teams and supporting the transition to the new shared service centre function. Support the implementation of a new accounting system (AX Office). Liaising with external and internal auditors. Continually reviewing business processes to ensure effective and efficient control. Review and oversee balance sheet reconciliations. To provide full support to the Finance Controller and Finance Director, including business analysis, business improvement projects and ad hoc requests. Responsible for the preparation of balance sheet, cash flow and overhead budgets / quarterly forecasts, working closely with budget holders and providing detailed analysis as requested. In addition, you will have the following skills: A qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent) with a strong academic record and experience gained as a Senior Financial Accountant (ideally from within the FMCG manufacturing industry). An experienced manager with a proactive and professional management style dedicated to achieving results and continuous improvement. Excellent communication skills, demonstrating ability to communicate in a professional and effective manner at all levels. Highly numerate, with excellent attention to detail. Professional, proactive and self-motivated with a drive to continually improve processes and seek new challenges. Computer literate, with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good working knowledge of packages such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
