A recent project has led to them seeking a talented and ambitious Financial Analyst for their modern and sleekly designed, City of London based headquarters. Role Reporting into the Head of Finance Business Partnering, The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the following: Collaborating with the business owners to develop longer term, strategic financial plans in support of business objectives as required Develop a strong understanding of the business model and the opportunities and risks facing the organisation; challenge and enable business owners to utilise the information provided to them to optimise business performance Assist in the preparation of the periodic management accounts pack including P&L and Balance Sheet variance analysis and commentary, and contribution analysis across revenue streams, for the Management Committee Work with the business owners to develop their annual plan, budget and forecasts. Monitor the effective delivery of the business plan throughout the year; tracking, challenging, reporting and communicating progress against targets to business and project owners Partner with the business area heads to provide value adding support, guidance, analysis and challenge Develop opportunities to enhance profitability and growth in conjunction with the business; highlight growth opportunities, challenge inappropriate items of expenditure and recommend methods and strategies for cutting costs Profile The ideal candidate for the City of London based Financial Analyst position will be the following: Degree educated with a 2:1 classification from a Top 30 UK University Part-qualified or newly qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA A minimum of 3 years commercial experience gained in industry or professional services A minimum of 3 years previous experience in financial analysis and modelling Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven experience in Senior Stakeholder Engagement Company My client is a leading, City of London based, banking and financial services advisory firm with over 250 members.
