Payroll Manager OA Executive has partnered with one of our existing clients based in the healthcare sector who are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Manager to join their team. Based in their head office in central London, they have been established for more than 20 years and boast a collaborative and friendly team. As the Payroll Manager you will work as an integral part of the Group Payroll team who are responsible for the end to end processing of payroll. You will coordinate 2 payrolls for circa 12,000 employees nationally, one of which is fortnightly and the second monthly. Ensure accurate end to end processing of 2 payrolls Check payroll input onto multiple payroll systems entered by the team to ensure accuracy and satisfy audit requirements Facilitate team meetings and one to one performance evaluations Monitoring workload of team ensuring all SLA's are met or exceeded Ensure team members acquire necessary skills and performance attributes, in line with business and personal development needs Provide guidance to and share knowledge with colleague's/team members relating to own specialisation Review, maintain and and/or improve payroll procedures Recruiting and inducting new members into the payroll team, as well as continuous training Identify process improvement initiatives and define standards for new processes Monitor helpdesk to ensure calls have been responded to and actioned within 48 hour SLA Approve and release top up payments Assist with Pension related matters Liaise and assist in Pension year end returns Complete all post payroll activities Ensure department is legally complaint and all third parties are managed effectively With overall responsibility for all payroll related information, you will be required to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to drive and implement process improvements across the department. With a proven background in payroll, you will have a sound understanding of multiple payroll systems, a good understanding of pension regulations and experience of running parallel payrolls. You will be a strong line manager and will enjoy managing and developing teams. Strong Excel and database reporting skills are also necessary in order to be successful in this role.
