Simpson Judge are recruiting on behalf of a Bolton based business for an experienced Credit Controller. The Role: The Credit Controller will work alongside the Finance Manager to support the timely collection of outstanding accounts in line with credit terms as well as resolving any customer accounts allocation issues. The role will involve regular phone contact with customers and other sites of the business in an effort to maximize the cash receipts/working capital for the business, logging of disputes, driving dispute resolution, reconciliation of customer accounts and reduction of unallocated cash receipts. Role Duties: Contact customers by phone and email to ensure cash receipts to follow up on queries Follow the dispute management process to ensure prompt turnaround of queries Escalate collection issues as policy dictates Contribute to the month end reporting process Ensure compliance and control guidelines are always met Support with audit controls testing as required Provide cover within the team when required Undertake ad hoc tasks as required by Team Manager Skills & Experience: Proven track record of working in a successful credit control/collections/accounts receivable environment Demonstrate good knowledge of cash flow to a business Ability to work in a team-orientated environment that is fast-paced and demanding Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills Exhibit a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy Work well under pressure with the ability to deliver accurately and on time Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in all MS products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint Ability to manage time effectively Strong customer-focused mindset coupled with a high standard of ethics and integrity The position would suit someone that is available immediately or at short notice.
