Project Start Recruitment are expanding, and we are looking for an all-round Accounts Assistant to join the Yate team. The hours can be flexible and also part time, possibly to suit school hours if preferred. We are a busy sales office and the role would be supporting the Sales Consultant and Director will cover the company's finance and credit control activities. We require the candidate to have the following skills and attributes:
• Collating & Entering Weekly/Monthly Timesheets
• Creating & Posting Sales Invoices to Sage Business Cloud
• Coding & Posting Purchase Invoices
• Posting Payments & Receipts
• Managing Sales & Purchase Ledger
• Credit Control
• Full Bank Reconciliation
• Payroll Journals
• Factoring Reconciliation & Posting
• Month End Reconciliation
• Update and maintain Team Spreadsheets
• Track and resolve accounting problems and discrepancies as needed
• Assisting with Year End
• Liaising with external Companies - Suppliers, Customers, Umbrella Companies, Factoring Company & Accountant HMRC
• CIS Return
• Intermediary Reports
• PAYE Reconciliation Administration
• Managing Contractor Timesheets and Invoicing
• Managing Placement and Packs
• Maintain files and electronic records Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
• Basic bookkeeping & accounts experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills & ability to work across functional departments
• Strong attention to detail, analytical approach to problem solving
• Proactive and methodical attitude with ability to work unsupervised
• Passion for working in a multi-cultural business
• Working to high levels of accuracy
• You will need to possess good numeracy skills and include a C or above in GCSE Math's, good use of the Sage Accounting system and perhaps further accounting qualifications e.g. AAT
