fdu is recruiting a hands on Financial Controller for a £5m t/o digital / software business based in London, NW2 / Brent Cross. Reporting to the Commercial Director and Part-Time Finance Director you will be responsible for all day to day financial activity, working closely with a firm of external accountants who currently perform all book-keeping activity. Your responsibilities will include: Managing the month-end close timetable, ensuring that all key accounts are reconciled Overseeing all transactional accounting activity - accounts payable, accounts receivable, currently undertaken by a firm of external accountants Track and analyse P&L against budget, highlighting any anomalies Weekly flash reporting Cashflow management; managing the 12 month rolling forecast Monthly payroll Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts Debtors and creditors management Streamlining accounting processes and procedures, improving financial controls to mitigate risk Your profile A qualified accountant able to demonstrate strong technical accounting experience specifically carried out in an SME environment Comfortable operating up and down the financial scale; from day to day transactional through to senior level decision making A strong working knowledge of Xero Accounting software Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills I ANTICIPATE THAT YOU WILL NEED A CAR AS YOU WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO DRIVE TO THE OFFICE; THEY ARE BASED JUST OFF THE NORTH CIRCULAR.
