Robert Walters: ACA First Time Mover or ACCA Practice Background - Finance Business Partner I am currently recruiting positions for growing business on the outskirts of Birmingham. An exciting opportunity for an ACA first time mover or ACCA practice trained to develop their career within a commercial business partnering role. The salary for this position is £40,000 to £42,000 per annum . Role Outline of Finance Business Partner: This business is currently going through unprecedented change, with new leadership implementing new systems and a culture shift. This position is a new addition to the team due to a new system go live and a review of complete resource offering. Having gone live, it has been determined that this role is required to further bolster out the existing finance team offering an interesting and challenging opportunity. The first 3-6 of months of this role will involve working hard to deliver change, complete year end accounts, and clean up the existing balance sheet. With the view that after this is to get the new reporting cycle more efficient and allow the role to move into a more analytical and business partnering role. This will allow the individual to enjoy delivering on a number of key business requirements and develop professionally over the next 12 months. Requirements of Finance Business Partner: ACA qualified or ACCA from Practice Background We are looking for a well-rounded, bright accountant, who is able to take on a variety of tasks autonomously Reliable, personal and willing to respectfully challenge methods that are being used Someone who enjoys problem solving, is happy to learn new things and is willing to work hard Duties of Finance Business Partner: Review, redesign and implementation of financial controls and procedures under the supervision of the financial controller Completion of typical month end activities (balance sheet reconciliations, analysis, reviews and ultimately reporting to both management and group) Completion of typical financial management activities (cashflow forecasts, posting and payment reviews, VAT return submissions etc) Completion of typical year end activities (engage with auditors, prepare stat accounts and relevant reconciliations/analysis) Act as a focal point and lead on our financial reporting process, including our Asia subsidiaries Act as a role model within the finance team and work to assist a culture shift towards greater accountability and business partnering This role has no line management responsibility initially, however with a large team it is hoped that in due course this role can take on management of some areas of the wider team
