My client, a business services organisation, are looking for a SENIOR FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER to join their expanding and newly reformed finance team. This is a great chance to join the organisation whilst they go through an exciting period of growth RESPONSIBILITIES Financial reporting Full responsibility for the production of the monthly management accounts for specific areas, by accurate posting of necessary journals within agreed deadlines. Proactively raise risks and opportunities by identifying trends and make recommendations to the Finance Business Partnering Manager. Manage the completion of related balance sheets reconciliations, to set deadlines. Financial budgeting / forecasting Work closely with senior management to deliver the Group's budgeted / forecasted targets. Update and develop financial models which support the robust projection of income and costs, including the medium to long term view, and to challenge (where appropriate) assumptions made by business managers. Manage the upload of budget and forecast data into the accounting systems. Finance analysis Support the Finance Business Partnering Manager in the creation of financial resources which support the business' pricing decisions (for example 'Activity Based Costing' analysis) and continuously monitor. Ensure relevant financial models are developed and maintained to support the business' everchanging business needs, adapting where required to support the business strategy. Provide robust 'Return on Investment' analysis to support or challenge business cases and present the recommendations in key meetings. Manage the addition or withdrawal of nominal codes, to ensure the continued relevance and robustness of the 'chart of accounts.' Business partnering Proactively seek, build and develop trusted relationships with senior business managers around the business, to best support the achievement of the business' objectives, through delivery of accurate, timely and value add support, advice and analytical output. Attend business team meetings and report on the business performance; challenging the business on the performance or pace of change, if appropriate. Foster closer relations with the business, sitting with them on average 1 or 2 days a week. Represent the business and/or Finance in project task and working groups. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) Advanced/intermediate Excel user. Analytical, logical and numerical with excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. Highly organised and ability to meet tight deadlines. Analysis of data to be able to identify trends and make recommendations based on report findings Manipulating high volumes of financial data to produce meaningful analysis Good time management skills. Innovative approach to problem solving.
