Payroll & Pensions Officer Hertford, Herts 12-month FTC (Full time or part time option available) £30,000 - 35,000 per annum Required to cover maternity for a period of 12 months, the role of Payroll and Pensions Officer is a crucial role within this established and well know local organisation. The role is offered as either a full time or part time role (minimum 3 days per week). You will be required to supply a first-class service to the client group and be fully aware of all current and future regulations and obligations in the payroll and pensions context. Proven experience in a payroll officer role will be required alongside the use of different payroll software applications and experience of an in-house payroll system. You will have experience of input and processing of pay for a variable salaried and hourly paid workforce along with the ability to multi-task and prioritise, with an accurate eye for detail. Key Duties: The preparation and processing of payroll (consisting of around 450 staff), including all required reports and related administration. To ensure the correct processing and complete administration of Pensions schemes. To ensure that all auto enrolment requirements are met in full; The timely preparation and distribution of all required HMRC returns, including but not limited to P35/P60 Employers annual return, or equivalent e.g. Real Time Reporting, Annual Pension Returns, P11d expenses and benefits etc. All required information and reports in connection with the Annual Finance Audit; To ensure the correct reconciliation of all payroll related accounts; The administration of the private healthcare scheme; The administration of the childcare voucher scheme; Due to the anticipated high volume of applications we may receive for this advertisement, it is with regret that we may only be able to contact those applicants successful in being shortlisted.
