We have a new opportunity for a Service User Finance Officer to provide finance services to the Jeesal Group and the service users in it's care. Jeesal Group is an award-winning independent specialist service, registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Built on over 30 years of experience in providing unrivalled care and support, Jeesal Group is one of the largest independent care providers in Norfolk, providing person-centred care for people with learning disabilities. The role will be based at our head office in Dereham and we are flexible on hours with full time, part time and job share opportunities considered at an hourly rate of £10.07. As a Service User Finance Officer you will: Supervise the Cashier for the Jeesal Group to ensure work has been completed in accorfance with organisational policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring the correct use of the petty cash float and payment of monies and to ensure all cash reconciliations are completed and correct. Ensure spot checks of the Cash and Valuables Pouches held on the wards are completed, reviewed and areas of improvement to staff training and policies identified. Review company policies surrounding service users finances on a regular basis, liaising with the Finance Manager regarding system recommendations. Liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) in connection with any finance related new or existing service user matters including DWP and DLA for service user benefits to ensure appropriate benefit claims are submitted Provide service user finance training as required Keep Pandora Electronic Service User Information System up to date Quarterly cash audits across the Residential Care homes Reconcile petty cash and credit card transaction on a monthly basis. Cash Office Cover located at Cawston Park in the absence of the Cashier/s. The Person At least one year in an administrative role An NVQ in finance or equivalent qualification or experience GCSE C grade or above in English and Maths Excellent communication skills both written and verbal across all levels of the business An understanding of finance operations particularly in bank, cash, credit card and client money reconciliations Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications in particular Word and Excel Good time management and organisational ability Ability to prioritise and meet operational deadlines.
