Accounts Payable Lead Reporting To: Financial Planning & Analysis Manager
Salary:
£33 - £35k plus discretionary bonus and generous benefits package Experience: Minimum 3 years' relevant experience required Working hours: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30 The Company Our client is an industry leading FTSE 250 Shipping group headquartered in Central London. Job Detail The Account Payable Lead will oversee the work of three Accounts Payable Assistants and will report into the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager. Main responsibilities of the role but not limited to: Support and drive the growth and integration of the AP team, working closely with other finance functions. Reviewing and approving payment runs. Reviewing AP Postings and ensure costs are coded accurately. Review supplier/customer maintenance deals. Manage payment queries. Month end close for AP. AP Assistant duties to ensure deadlines are met. Management on the company expense payments. Corporate credit card reconciliation. Assist with audit requests Other adhoc assignments as and when required Requirements Candidates must submit a CV which clearly demonstrates the essential criteria listed below. Requirements Essentials: At least 3 years' experience working in an accounts function with senior/lead responsibilities. Excellent knowledge of debits and credits. Experience of working with multiple entities and multiple currencies. Identifies and solves problems to ensure efficient and effective running of AP processes. Solid IT skills including Excel, able to adapt to new softwares with ease. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail with a commitment to high quality and accuracy. Be able to work effectively to meet deadlines. Hard-working and enthusiastic. Works well within a small team. Embraces change, with a 'can do' attitude. Ability to learn quickly, adapt to in-house systems and suggest improvements.
