Our client is the market leader in residential property buying and currently in an exciting expansion phase and looking for ambitious and dynamic people to join their team. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the efforts and results of the finance department. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with regards to all financial and accounting activities. Additionally, overseeing the finance department staff in day-to-day operations. The objective of the role is to ensure compliance with taxation and all relevant legislation and facility agreements, to implement good corporate governance and best practice accounting procedures and to provide the Executive Team with accurate and timely reporting of key performance indicators. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish and oversee all company accounts and records for the group of companies.
• Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends and financial forecasts
• Carefully manage cash flow (by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports)
• Supervise and proactively manage the finance department staff (including holding regular performance reviews)
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Responsible for tax and regulatory compliance
• Lead month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure all finance systems (including payroll, invoicing and MI) are fit for purpose for a growing platform
• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported
• Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
• Develop and monitor budgets and financial plans for the company
• Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
• Protect company assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls
• Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
• Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
• Report to the CFO with timely and accurate financial management information
• Assist the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or master's degree. ACA (or equivalent) qualified, with 5 years post qualified experience. PERSON SPECIFICATION:
