Blackwaters are recruiting: The Firm: This Independent CA's success is based on the highest quality client service. The firm will not compromise service levels to boost turnover. The 'engineroom' of the firm is highly efficient in servicing clients compliance needs. However an additional Client Manager within the Tax Department is required to lead client relationships, review work & on occasions 'bed-down' new clients; ensuring high quality of service. Very successful firm, c £2m t/o, the firm concentrates on good quality clients (usually fees of at least £10k per annum). Investors in People accreditation gave lots of feedback from staff, which was overwhelmingly positive. The firm have a great track-record for career development, with all Partners joining the firm at non-Partner level & progressing through the firm. The Role: This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Client Manager. The role holder will assist in the client management of the private client and business tax teams. The departments assists with the taxation affairs of around 1,600 private clients and sole traders and 1,000 companies. Typical clients include HNWI's, Non-resident/Non Domiciled Taxpayers, Trusts & Estates and business owners and their families. The departments consists of experienced qualified personnel as well as trainees of various levels. Key
Responsibilities:
Managing a portfolio of clients, Reporting to the Tax partner, the candidate will review the work of junior members of staff, Ensure that all work completed is in accordance with the firm's quality control procedures Assist in the management of a team including the coaching and development of junior staff both on the job and through monitoring exam and on the job performance Provide overall support to Partners on client matters and special projects including exposure to a wide variety of tax issues Assist the audit team by reviewing tax computations of audit companies and groups Deal with client queries and manage client expectations Assist with HMRC enquiries and investigations The Person: Strong mixed tax experience & a proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients are the most important qualities.
