ï»' Head of Capital Modelling, Ireland This person will be instrumental in driving forward the internal model approval process with the CBI , ensuring capital requirements for the group's Irish entities are appropriately modelled and implemented in line with their risk management framework and strategy. Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with the cross functional senior management teams of the Irish entities to ensure full understanding of the entity's risk profiles and develop mechanisms to communicate its risks effectively, on an ongoing basis
• Lead the approval process of the Internal Model with the Central Bank of Ireland
• Manage the delivery of regulatory capital assessments for the group's Irish entities, including key engagements with the CBI as required
• Promote the understanding and use of the capital model in the strategic making decision of the Irish entities
• Analyse and present critical information from the Capital Model as may be required to support the decision making of the Irish entities
• Review model inputs and outputs and justify their appropriateness for the entity's exposure
• Ensure parameterization processes managed across multi-jurisdictional teams across the UK, France, Bermuda India are coordinated and completed in time for model use and in line with specified standards
• Regularly review and strive to identify potential areas of improvement for the model, ensuring it continues to reflect the risk profile of the Irish entities.
• Support and contribute to other Centres of Excellence within the Risk Management Department with analysis from the Capital Model as may be required
• Lead, build out and mentor a new team in Dublin.
• Ensure governance processes are appropriately followed and data quality standards are met Ideal Candidate Profile
• Strong technical and analytical background in General Re/Insurance ideally
• Significant experience in Capital Modelling, ideally 5- 8 years expertise.
• Qualified Actuary ideally - FSAI, FIA
• Strong leader, enjoys mentoring and developing teams.
• Capable project manager, adept communicator and with strong ability to present to boards / regulator etc.
