An opportunity has arisen to join a small, busy accounts team as Accounts Assistant. You will be working closely with the Finance and Accounting Manager and key duties will include the following:
• Processing supplier invoices and credit notes
• Maintaining and reconciling supplier accounts
• Maintaining and issuing UK and foreign payments
• Raising non-stock purchase orders
• Liaising with suppliers and internal departments
• Creating monthly payment runs
• Assisting with cash forecasting
• Reviewing and verifying expense reports
• Develop system and procedural efficiencies
• Month end duties, including general ledge reconciliation and GRNI review
• Scanning invoices and delivery notes
• Sales ledger cover when require including new account set up, processing cash and credit control
• Other ad hoc duties as required Key skills and experience required:
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong PC skills, especially Microsoft Excel
• Positive 'can do' attitude
• Self-motivated
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Professional and able to contribute constructively within a small team Hours of work: either 8am - 5pm (1hr lunch) or 8.30am - 5pm (30 min lunch) Holidays: 23 days bank holidays
