A career within External Audit services, will provide you with the opportunity to provide a range of Assurance services and business advice to a variety of clients from small, fast growing clients to large entities. Our clients are often well known brands and many have broad international reach. We focus on using the latest technology to reduce the level of manual testing ensuring you'll focus on the most valuable areas of client service and on enhancing corporate governance and the reliability of our clients' information. The passion of our people, combined with access to the latest technology, helps us deliver the highest quality audits and build trust in society. We pride ourselves on our global reputation as a trusted place to do business, whilst giving our people access to the best opportunities and lots of variety through your home team, internal secondments and international assignments. We've all experienced the impact of extraordinary technological change over recent years. All of our clients are impacted by digital advancements, and so our propositions need to respond to that. We're also seeing that our clients are changing how they work - increasingly working remotely and across multiple locations. For PwC, this means designing an operating model where we'll improve quality, deliver outstanding value to our clients, and create a better experience for our people. This collectively is known as Project ATOM, and the establishment of a dedicated RRAE ("Referred Reporting Audit Engagements") team is one of our key priorities to respond to this challenge under ATOM - by executing the delivery of these engagements from our Cardiff offices, providing a dedicated and specialist focus for National delivery. As part of the RRAE team you will work directly with a broad and diverse range of clients, unconstrained by the traditional BU structure, and consequently will be provided with exposure to clients of varying sizes, industries and complexity from all over the world. In doing so you will improve quality, efficiency, and innovation (what we do and how we do it) in this area. As part of this highly collaborative and close-knit team you will receive specialist training and in-depth coaching and mentoring to help you build your specialism, enabling you to perform roles earlier in your career than is typical. As a Senior Associate within the RRAE team you will: Issue instructions and liaise with overseas teams in order to ensure they complete appropriate test of details. Review overseas teams working papers. Monitor the delivery of required communications from the overseas team. Build and maintain strong relationships with teams around the world. Work and liaise with other members of the RRAE team and colleagues in other parts of the firm as necessary to provide a high quality client service. Drive continuing innovation in how we deliver assurance in these more complex audit areas. Utilise your strong business awareness and sound reporting skills. Have access to internal mobility both nationally and internationally You will make a difference by: Developing deep, respected specialisms, enabling you to perform roles earlier in your career than is typically possible. Working with (and becoming) brilliant, high performing experts in your field. Making a difference, by driving innovation and thought leadership in this area. Interacting directly with overseas teams, but doing so through a combination of virtual communication and overseas visits - enabling you to work more flexibly than is typically possible. Helping drive PwC Assurance strategy, by shaping a critical element of our delivery mode Preferred skills Completed their accounting qualification; A drive and aptitude to build deep accounting and auditing specialisms; Demonstrable experience of managing multiple engagements; Excellent written and oral communication skills, at all levels, in both physical and virtual environments; Strong influencing skills; An ability to work under their own initiative, and under pressure; and A willingness to build relationships with other PwC specialists to better provide a high quality, efficient and robust service. This role offers the potential for flexible working. It is expected, at most, only minimal travel will be required with the vast majority of interactions with overseas teams being virtual in nature.
