CREDIT RISK MANAGER £45,000 - £50,000 Leeds Aimee Willow Connex are working with a lender who specialise in short term business loans for the SME market anywhere from £100,000 - £2M for periods of up to 24 months. Their specialists have substantial banking and investment experience. As such, they understand how to structure funding that helps businesses grow. They are looking to hire a Credit Risk Manager due to growth, who will be reporting into the Risk & Operations Director. This is an exciting opportunity as it gives this Manager excellent progression to learn and grow with the company. You must have proven experience in a risk environment with an alternative finance background dealing with commercial loans . Main Duties: Research and collate appropriate information to make a credit decision and keep appropriate records relating to information received, and decisions made and ongoing risk assessment and management of clients. Liaise with internal and external personnel to gain extra/appropriate information or to discuss applications where necessary. Maintain credit related paperwork including KYC / AML. Risk evaluation, which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the business such as costs, legal requirements and environmental factors. Carry out risk assessments of new opportunities and existing clients to analysing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risk affecting the business and escalate this information to the Risk Director if need be. To work within the level of risk the business is prepared to accept. Experience Needed: At least 3 years' experience in a risk environment & strong decision-making ability. Understanding of financial statements and principles of lending and security with strong analytical skills. Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Self-motivated with excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to work within structured processes managing tasks efficiently and effectively.
