A London-based Property Developer are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team. This is an excellent opening for an individual to join a business that are consistently adding to their remarkable portfolio. The Assistant Accountant is responsible for supporting the Financial Controller and Management Accountants. Responsibilities Preparation of bank reconciliations, VAT returns and CIS returns for multiple entities Assist with the Accounts Payable process, including; coordination of invoice and PO approvals, posting of invoices onto accounting systems, processing payments, dealing with supplier queries, management of staff expenses Assist with the accounts receivable process, including; processing of standing orders and direct debits, allocation of payments to invoices on accounting and property management systems, raising and processing sales invoices, processing deposit refunds and inter-company cash transfers Preparation of journals and other supporting workings for review by the Management Accountant Assisting the Management Accountant with monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations Assisting the Management Accountant with tax returns for the group's property owning SPV's Assisting with the external audit process Involvement in the administration of the group's transfer pricing arrangements, including identification and execution of recharges Testing of bank covenants and the drafting of associated compliance certificates Drafting of utilisation requests and the preparation of debt draw down from packs in connection with the Group's borrowings Preparation of credit card and petty cash reconciliations Experience/Skills Effective communicator to internal/external professionals and ability to work as part of a team Excellent attention to detail, ambitious and diligent Studying towards professional accountancy qualification Strong IT skills and ability to adapt to new systems Previous Property experience is advantageous If you feel you match the experience to this position, please click on the link to apply or alternatively send your CV to
