We are currently recruiting for a fantastic business based near Gloucester Quays who need an assistant accountant to join them for the next 15 months in order to cover a member of staff going on maternity leave. Ideally starting at the end of November/beginning of December this role will report to the senior accountant and will take responsibility for the purchase and sales ledgers, cashbook, intrastats, EC sales, payroll, expenses, accruals, prepayments, reporting, P&L and balance sheet work. This will be a really varied role and will receive a lengthy handover from the current incumbent so any gaps in knowledge can be trained. This role would ideally suit someone with good bookkeeping skills, decent excel ability and someone who is happy to roll their sleeves up and help with any work required by the finance team. The office team is a very friendly and supportive group of people so if you are looking for a lengthy contract role (that could potentially become more longer term or permanent) then this really is a lovely role.
