Job Title : Tax Manager Salary : Circa 55k pa Location : Sutton Early finish on Fridays - lunch time Our well established client based in Sutton are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join their firm, ensuring their clients achieve their goals, maximising profits and minimising taxation liabilities. You will be supporting business owners providing timely, effective solutions to help their business develop. With a solid client base which has been built over 30 years, they serve clients throughout London and the South East. As an expanding practice, they are seeking to recruit a qualified Tax Manager with a desire to progress and develop their tax career within a highly regarded firm, managing a portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients (including company directors and private clients) and some trusts. You will be a proactive, solutions focused person with proven tax advisory experience within an Accounting Practice, possessing a thorough up to date knowledge of personal and corporate tax legislation. You will be at least ATT qualified, ideally CTA qualified and you will be expected to build and expand your network to create more opportunities. Your Key Responsibilities will include: Holistic tax advice to the portfolio of predominantly owner-managed businesses, split approximately 80% personal and 20% corporate; Ad hoc tax advisory/project work; Leadership responsibilities, overseeing the work of more junior members of the team, providing guidance and support to their development; Profitable management of a portfolio of both personal and corporate tax clients including ultimate responsibility for completeness of submissions; The preparation of complex tax returns and those of HNWIs/Non Doms/Non Residents; Developing effective client relationships; Development of the tax department, working in co-operation with the wider business and Partners; Identify and advising on proactive tax planning opportunities; Developing acuity of trust tax compliance services; Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
