My client is a FTSE construction and engineering business based in Maidenhead; with operations across the UK. This business has a well known name and brand in the market, and is a developing and growing organisation going through transformation; thus an exciting time to be part of audit The internal audit team is headed up by a new Head of Internal Audit and Risk; she is passionate and forward thinking, with a real desire to drive forward IA in the business. The role of internal auditor is to support the Head of IA on the annual internal audit plan; a mixture of operational, financial and project assurance work. This will be end to end auditing with a risk based approach; with a large amount of stakeholder engagement. The travel is up to 25% UK based. The role is based in Maidenhead but there is flexibility to work from home once a week and there is a flexible attitude towards the "working hours". The ideal candidate will have some experience in internal audit; perhaps a background in internal audit in industry, or a background in practice with a year or 2 in industry. Construction or engineering experience would be greatly valued, as there will be occasions where you audit a project. Gravitas, strong work ethic and passion for internal audit is very necessary for the role.
