Job description: SUMMARY OF THE ROLE: Responsible for the financial management of Dover Precision Components operations in Europe including all accounting, tax and financial statement preparation. Direct and control a team of 9 finance staff and provide oversight of General Accounting including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Banking; Month End Closing activities, Internal and External Audits, Statutory reporting and responsibility for on time submission of all Taxes. General Accounting / Closing
• Month-end closing activities, providing management with a clear and concise status of closing activities both in the local ERP and Dover's consolidation system
• Monthly review of Balance sheets and P&L's
• Journal entry preparation including required approvals, supporting details.
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and reviewed on Cadency
• Ensure Intercompany accounts are reconciled promptly at month end
• Responsible for maintenance of fixed asset registers and proper reporting of assets for book and tax purposes Accounts Receivable
• Manage payment of invoices, processing of credit notes, and cash application
• Identify and manage collection risk
• Control of new customer set up
• Completion of statutory reporting e.g. EU sales list and statistical information to HMRC Accounts Payable
• Ensure the intercompany payment process is completed on schedule and accurately reported and settled
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of Accounts Payable transactions; with policies and procedures being documented and followed
• Responsible for compliance to CIC's, policies and procedures in Finance as well as the other functions.
• Ensure all taxes including Corporation tax, VAT and payroll taxes (or equivalent) are completed on time and in accordance with regulatory requirements Other

Responsibilities:

• Oversee bank accounts, insurance renewals, expenses system, credit cards
• Company Secretary Responsibilities with Companies House for 2 UK Companies
• Review/approval of Payroll, Pension Administration Required profile: SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present, persuade, and collaborate at the leadership level
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
• Experience of managing teams and working in a matrix organisation
• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrable experience of UK Tax and Statutory Audits QUALIFICATIONS:
• 10 years post qualification experience in a manufacturing environment
