LB Recruit is working with a great client, based in Basildon, who are looking to bring on board an Accountant for 2 or 3 days a week, in order to aid with their internal finance function. This role would suit an experienced Accountant looking for a part-time position in a small but busy and friendly environment. Responsibilities of the role: This is an all round role where you will be dealing with all aspects of the accounts department including the following: Production of monthly management accounts and all journals relating to the management accounts. Dealing with all HMRC matters and reconciliation of PAYE /net wages and submission of VAT returns. Calculation of month end work in progress (WIP) Bank reconciliations and nominal account reconciliations such as Net wages, Pensions, PAYE etc Credit control as required Cash flow management Ensuring that sales and purchase ledger accounts are kept tidy Payroll journals Calculation of accruals and prepayments Other ADHOC duties as and when required Requirements of the role: Knowledge of SAGE line 50 would be an advantage Must be able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team Possibly QBE or part qualified accountant This role is being offered as part time with a FTE salary of around £30,000 and my client is looking for someone who is able to commit to 2 or 3 days a week.
