Thorpe Molloy are working on a permanent Assistant Accountant position with an organisation that services the offshore oil and gas industry. Located in Dyce, the Assistant Accountant plays an important role assisting the Finance Manager and will be predominantly responsible for bank reconciliations. Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for the following: Completing monthly bank reconciliations and financial reports in a timely manner. Reviewing bank reconciliation reports to ensure accuracy with closing balances. Ensuring backup of all finalised bank reconciliations and balances in the GL. Ensuring all transactions are posted and reconciled to meet month end deadlines. Responsible for offsetting clearing account items. Raising cheques for operational bases. Liaising with treasury team to highlight and resolve banking issues. You should ideally be Part-Qualified and have experience with multi-currency bank, and GL reconciliations. Working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous whilst you should be a strong team player who takes ownership of problems. You will receive a competitive salary and benefits package.
