Financial Controller Coralinn Group are a leading private equity & business investment group who from their Head Office in Livingston manage the accounting and financial control of all companies under their umbrella. Due to an internal restructure, an opportunity has become available for the appointment of a new Financial Controller. Applications are sought from experienced Financial Controllers who are looking for their next long-term career move, and possibly also from experienced Management Accountants who are now looking to move towards the position of Financial Controller. Main duties will include:
• Reviewing (or preparing as necessary) monthly management accounts
• Reviewing (or preparing as necessary) annual statutory accounts
• Reviewing (or preparing as necessary) corporation tax returns; and computations
• Reviewing (or preparing as necessary) all HMRC returns (VAT, CIS, EC Sales List, etc.)
• Reviewing (or preparing as necessary) cash flow forecasts
• Preparing annual budgets and monitoring variances to actuals
• Preparing other ad-hoc external returns (CITB, HSF, etc.)
• Reviewing and posting purchase invoices
• Preparation of the Group's cash position and loan summary
• Completion and submission of all Confirmation Statements
• Preparing (including reconciling historical and forecasting future) project costs; and developing recovery action plans
• Management of insurance renewals including gap analysis
• Reviewing, approving and releasing daily bank payments
• Preparation and submission of board packs
• Maintenance of company secretarial files Additional

responsibilities:

• Ensuring that the monthly management accounts are presented accurately and on time
• Development and monitoring of business performance KPI's
• Preparation of board packs and attendance at board meetings
• Dealing with external advisors such as architects, quantity surveyors, auditors, bankers, insurance brokers
• Ensuring all group Intercompany balances agree
• Offering / providing general business advice and ad-hoc support to managers and directors, as requested
• Supervision and management of finance team and office based operational staff
• Attendance at meetings (board meetings, cost review meetings, design team meetings, weekly operations meetings)
• Conducting site visits (both development sites and the offices of companies based outside of the Livingston HQ) Required Competencies:
• Advanced Excel skills
• Advanced working knowledge of Xero
• Experience of NAV preferred, but not essential
• Qualified (or qualified by experience) The salary for this role is currently envisaged at being up to around £40,000 depending on skills and experience, although it is possible that this could perhaps be slightly negotiable to a certain extent.
