Business Analyst 1-Ops - 19001GF4 Preferred Qualifications Overview The Communications Applications Product Operations team is an integral part of Oracles Communications Application Global Business Unit (CAGBU), which provides integrated Communications and Cloud solutions. The Product Operations team in CAGBU provides operational and infrastructure support for multiple teams within the Business Unit. Position Description The Business Analyst in the Product Operations team is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and processing a wide array of data-related Business functions related to the Software Product Development lifecycle. The position involves interaction with multiple teams within the organization and operates under moderate supervision. Roles and Responsibilities Support the Engineering and Business processes in the business unit. Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, Legal, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Assist in developing programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organizational financial and tactical business objectives. Develop a Risk Management and Resiliency plan, communicate, and train the organization on the plan and processes. Other duties include researching, proofing, and authoring process documentation that are beneficial to their peers, the team management and the company as a whole in the area of standards and practices. Quickly master technical and functional areas to perform the duties assigned. Qualifications Must possess a University degree in Accounting or Engineering or similar discipline with good academic records Must have at least 6 months of project/program management work experience Required Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (functions & Pivot Tables), and PowerPoint is required Excellent English oral and written communication skills including listening and presentation skills is required Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems Ability to collaborate with audiences of different levels across different time zones. Ability to gather, interpret and apply critical thinking to data to help inform decisions Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently, while closely collaborating with other groups in the company Basic UNIX skills would be a plus Basic knowledge of SCRUM/Agile/project management methodologies would be a plus Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle is a plus Passionate about technology and committed to continuing professional development Work Environment Work location is Taguig City, Philippines Regular office hours with night time/weekend work as needed. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures. Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and procedures. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. Relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired. 0 - 2 years relevant work experience.
