ROLE SUMMARY The primary purpose of this position is to manage various projects and initiatives assigned to the Financial Planning & Analysis team, while also providing support to PGS Finance in the areas of forecasting, budgeting and reporting. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the GMX Type 99 process in conjunction with the GMX team, BT and other members of the FP&A team, which seeks to control statistical cost changes in GMX and minimize the financial impact to various P&Ls. Lead the process to identify and eliminate inactive and obsolete data from the GMX production environment to allow for greater efficiencies during the annual budgeting process. Support the PGS network through the annual process of loading budgeted statistical costs into GMX and the subsequent validation of those costs in GMX to ensure that the data submitted by the PGS sites is aligned with the communicated budget standards and to improve the accuracy of the GMX database. Participate in PGS Finances continuous improvement strategic initiative where we continuously evaluate PGS Finance processes and seek to identify and eliminate non-value or low-value activities. Serve as the PGS representative for Finance on Demand portal, a self-service portal where both Finance and non-Finance colleagues can access applications and information to get things done more easily. Develop and distribute global communications to the PGS Finance community providing key information and deliverables. Develop and publish guidance, process and policy documents for use by the PGS Finance community in their day-to-day operations. Support the PGS Product Portfolio Management Finance Leader in working with the various PGS Product Portfolio Leaders, which includes detailed analyses on cost data and drivers, as well as modeling to support business decisions. Other projects/assignments as directed by Director and Senior Director, Financial Planning and Analysis. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance 5 - 7 Years Experience (accounting and business finance FP&A, financial modeling, template creation, etc.) Experience providing business support to senior level executives in the areas of budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis. Ability to work independently in a high-pressure, constantly changing environment 0 - 2 years of previous experience as a business partner 0 - 2 years prior management experience Strong communication and influencing skills Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities, and systems knowledge (Ariba, SUN) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MBA or CPA preferred Able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, and identify areas of opportunity for positive change Developing Business Operations / Acumen Learning how the business works; knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting the business; working to develop an understanding of the financial implications of operational decisions Industry and Market Knowledge - Learning the external environment in which the business operates (i.e. our competitors, emerging trends, products, threats and opportunities) Learning how to define an investment opportunity, analyze alternatives, and present a final recommendation supported by financial metrics and operational necessity independently. Continuous Improvement Mindset Strong Project Management Skills Exposure to senior leadership and a demonstrated ability to tailor analyses to senior level audiences. Skills with SAP, Mosaic and Workday. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to perform complex data analysis and present it to senior PGS leadership; Ability to work independently and in small team environments.
