Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Responsibilities Understand Consumer Banking products and Nostro reconciliation processes Perform reconciliation for accounts in scope Process matching instructions provided by Business Units/ Support Units Perform the necessary investigations and follow up with respective parties including Nostro agent banks via SWIFT or emails Work closely with Business Units/ Support Units to resolve outstanding items Perform weekly escalation of outstanding breaks and unapplied funds to respective Business Units Perform return of unapplied funds via SWIFT Perform monthly GL Account Ownership signoff for account balance substantiation and highlight aging breaks as of month end to Business Units Update and maintain SOP Perform training and guidance to junior staff Lead & manage the reconciliation team ensuring daily reconciliation SLA are met Interact with BU/SU on any queries / issues raised and ensuring resolution within reasonable timelines independently Participate in new business initiatives discussion, understand the impact to support model and raise risks and issues for resolution Engage stakeholders pro-actively and provide support whenever required Drive process streamlining & process improvements Increase automation in processes reducing risk & increase work efficiency Requirements At least 5 years experience in back-office with good understanding in Nostro reconciliation / Consumer banking business Ability to collect and analyze information, problem-solve and make decisions Must to be of sufficient maturity and experience to be able to independently engage Support & Business Unit on BAU matters as well as to escalate and articulate issues and proposed resolutions Essential that written, spoken and listening skills are very strong Demonstrate leadership skills and an ability to grow and keep pace with rapid changes in the business Good Excel & PowerPoint skills
