As such, EO is playing a key role in ensuring effective operation with minimum disruption of the core business of DIAGEO worldwide. The Senior Statutory Accountant must ensure that statutory accounting reporting is completed accurately and on time every month, in line with the Government local legislation and IFRS principles, and that internal control procedures are robust, sustainable and strictly adhered to by all finance community. Main role functions Ensure accurate and complete recording of statutory books and reconciliation of statutory accounts periodically to guarantee results are in compliance with local regulation and Profit reconciliation between Local and Corporate results. Produce statutory financial statements under relevant local GAAP and IFRS principles in quality and on time. Perform submission of statistical returns to authorities timely and with quality. Coordinate attendance of external audits, ensure relevant information is provided and support to achieve satisfactory on any audit settlement. Proactively seek for process improvement opportunities and advise Line Manager on any non-compliance situation and alternative solutions. Requirements Graduated in accounting or Certified Public Accountant Post graduate studies in IFRS (desired) Minimum 3 years of experience Accounting reconciliations experience Accounting reports Statistical reports Compliance Financial Statements Skills Proficiency in English and effective communication in Spanish Analytical skills and problem solving oriented Strategic thinking and prioritization Ability to work independently and also Team player Accounting systems SAP (preferable), Advanced Microsoft excel
