About the role Position objectives and position summary In this role of Senior Technical Accountant, you will be the main contact point for our Chinese clients and our internal stakeholders on all matters related bookings, accounts and payments. You will be working closely with the wider Chinese P&C team members as well as the servicing team based in Bangalore. You will work independently with the respective business units and apply your service management skills and experience. You represent P&C BM TA in the Business unit management meetings where a strong representation of TA is required. Main tasks/activities Represent Technical Accounting & PC Business Management division in SR Beijing and to be the key contact for Client Markets and other internal stakeholders Answering ad hoc queries from internal stake holder (e.g. Finance, Underwriting, Claims, Legal) Manage a portfolio with a set of reinsurance clients. Ensure that all technical accounting information for clients, management, shareholders and supervisory purposes is created and maintained in a timely, accurate, effective and efficient manner. Monitor trends and developments in the assigned reinsurance portfolio Provide excellent external and internal customer services; acting as & PCBM & Technical Accounting ambassador; perform client visits and have close client interaction About the team P&C Technical Accounting is part of the Business Management Division which focuses on delivering values to our shareholders and clients on in-force portfolios. The team interacts within the Asia P&C community but as well with the Global P&C Business Management teams. About you Education and professional experience Bachelor's degree and above in Insurance, Accounting or relevant major Min of 5 years' experience in insurance or reinsurance companies or consulting industry Strong Insurance or Reinsurance knowledge is preferable Skills requirements Strong Leadership, Problem solving & presentation skills required Strong Analytical skills (flair for figures) Good knowledge on financial accounting, reporting and tax related requirements of insurance companies in China MS office skills preferred Languages fluent in English and Mandarin Behaviour requirements Self-motivated, Team player, good communication and interpersonal skills Result oriented working style, with strong focus on performance, targets and risk management Pro-active business-oriented approach; understand customer issues and concerns and actively seek to address them in developing solutions Ability to substantially contribute to and work with multi-cultural and cross functional teams Ability to think innovatively for process and solution Ability to adapt to changes and implement them accordingly.
