Job Summary: Senior Accountant will be solely responsible for the finance and accounting function of a London (Chelsea area) based carpet company. This person will report directly to the Head of Finance and & Accounting, EMEA. Possibility of a part-time employement (80%) Responsibilities include: Accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger postings Cash Book postings and bank reconciliations. Maintain fixed asset register and other asset controls Ensure legal compliance including but not limited to VAT, Payroll taxes, NI contributions, GDPR etc. Oversee period end closing and ensure timely preparation of monthly, interim and annual reporting packages for submission to Group Finance Identify and follow up with line management on major or unusual fluctuations, and review monthly operating results with line management Assist in preparing annual budget and tracking actual results against budget Coordinate with external auditors at year end Work with line management to implement proper internal controls and efficient and effective work flows to ensure integrity of financial data, protection of corporate assets, and adherence to corporate policies Desired Skills and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required Minimum 6 yearsAccounting experience Strong knowledge of accounting standards, procedures and controls is required Working knowledge of ERP systems; Oracle experience is a plus Knowledge of social laws and French language is a plus Sense of rigor and confidentiality
