Come and be part of the future. We look forwarding to reviewing your application. As Financial Accountant you will ensure financial and fiscal statutory compliance for BPChargemaster. You will be a key member of the Finance team and report into our Financial Controller. Responsibilities Control Environment o Record and regularly update records of the company's accounting processes and controls. o Undertake regular reviews and audits to ensure the effectiveness of controls. o Drafts quarterly due diligence report, maintains risk register and other Corporate reporting requirements as required o Assist the Group FC in ensuring that adequate controls exist to meet external statutory and internal group requirements. Technical Accounting o Be first port of call for ensuring accounting is in accordance with IFRS o Keep abreast of and update finance team on changes to standards o Review material new contracts and advise on accounting treatment o Liaise with Group Technical accounting as required Statutory Reporting o Ensure accounting systems are set up to facilitate efficient and accurate statutory reporting o Liaise with advisors and prepare all required information to meet statutory reporting and audit requirements Fiscal Compliance o Ensure accounting systems are set up to facilitate efficient and accurate fiscal reporting o Liaise with advisors and prepare all required information to meet fiscal obligations o Liaise with advisors and prepare all required information to support R&D tax claims o Prepare and submit VAT returns o Prepare and submit other returns as required (CIS, PAYE, Intrastat, ONS) Other o Assist with other matters as required to support the Group Financial Controller & Finance Team Key Relationships Reports to Group Financial Controller No Direct Reports Works closely with the existing small finance team of 8 Works with external advisors (auditors, tax) Works with central BP accounting & control functions Works with all parts of the business from time to time Likely to have 2 to 5 years post qualification experience Likely to have had practice experience or have performed a similar role in industry Qualified accountant with a recognised professional body Requirement 2 to 5 years post qualification experience Likely to have had practice experience or have performed a similar role in industry Qualified accountant with a recognised professional body
