The role: To assist in the delivery of an excellent capital accounting service to the company in accordance with agreed timetables. Duties: Ensure daily, weekly and monthly financial processes are completed accurately for fixed assets. Analyse and investigate variances from budget producing reports to assist management control for fixed assets. Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Registers, including analysis of and data entry of additions, disposals and adjustments. Monthly Analysis of maintenance spend to determine amounts and categories of components to be capitalised Production and processing of month end fixed asset journals, including SORP adjustments Maintenance of Stock and WIP schedules to support Fixed Asset journals Review of project reports to extract pertinent dates, cost and development data for monthly and year end processing Production of monthly and year end reports including but not limited to Fixed Asset Note(10), Under construction schedules, WIP and stock held for sale. Requirements: Must be part qualified or actively studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification. Proven customer service experience. Experience in reconciliations. Ability to analyse and manipulate data (component accounting extracts) Experience & understanding of Fixed Asset accounting and particularly Component Accounting
