Interaction Accountancy & Finance are delighted to once again provide our support to this infrastructure organisation who have a national reach, recruiting for the position of Senior Finance Business Partner. This position will see the successful applicant liaising closely with both Financial and Non Financial Managers to identify, plan and meet the financial needs of the business within a range of areas. The successful applicant to this position will have a skillset that includes strong communication skills, the ability to challenge processes, offer sound financial advice and guide senior leadership teams through budgeting processes and business activities. Duties will include:
• Provide technical advice and guidance on periodic financial results and forecasts, identifying and monitoring risks, opportunities and efficiencies
• Provide professional recommendations and financial guidance, enabling the business to be compliant both financially and legally.
• Analyse and prepare business plans and budgets to enable the business to make effective decisions
• Understand and influence the cost and income drivers relevant to the various business areas
• Influence senior budget holders, challenging figures and coaching them through best practice, gaining their understanding on the impact of period results and forecasts against budgets
• Drive, adapt and deliver key KPIs
• Lead budget holder meetings on financial performance
• Provide professional advice and guidance to drive business decisions To be suitable for this position, you will be able to demonstrate capabilities with the above duties, ideally within a large, corporate environment. You will have membership of or be working towards membership of a relevant accounting body such as CIMA/ACCA/ICEAW or equivalent. You will have excellent stakeholder management skills, the ability to communicate clearly and be able to effect decision making processes by offering sound financial advice.
