Job TitleFinance ManagerJob Description SummaryWhy is this role key:FibreNation has thus far been a small start-up business wholly owned by Talk Talk. With over £1 billion of new investment and debt imminent the business is looking to operate as a stand-alone business and scale up to achieve its goal of securing 3 million fibre customers. Reporting directly into the CFO, this Finance Manager will be the "go-to person" for all things related to Technical Accounting.Currently Talk Talk provides accounting, treasury and reporting services to Fibrenation. This role will be responsible for leading the transfer of these activities in-house, establishing accounting policies and procedures which provide the appropriate levels of control and ensure we are compliant with our investor and debt requirements. You will play a key part in this transformation and will work closely with the FibreNation Executive team.This is an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Accountant who has operated within an organisation of scale and is excited about being involved in a start-up business that is looking to scale quickly; to be involved at the outset, to be part of an exciting growth plan and to make your mark. How will I add value?You will work alongside the FibreNation CFO to make a real impact in scaling the business through establishing the accounting framework, financial policies and procedures. You will establish strong working relations with banks and investors to ensure no surprises, especially around covenants and reporting requirements.Working closely with Tax Advisors and Audit Partners, you will ensure compliance and also actions which would create value.Establishing efficient and effective cash management protocols, you will facilitate a billion build programme of more than £1 billion, to achieve 3 million fibre customers.As part of FibreNation we are building our own Finance systems and as such you will be involved in setting up and embedding a new finance and procurement system.As the business grows work with the CFO to scale the Finance team, with the intent of quickly establishing a fit for purpose Finance function.Specific skills requiredQualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA), ideally 5 years' experience PQStrong accounting technical skillsExperience of dealing with debt structures and covenants Proven experience with process improvements and financial controlsAbility to deal with adhoc requests and manage conflicting deadlinesBuild effective working relationships across business units and sitesExperience of SAGE accounting systems (preferable)The successful candidates will have a sound knowledge of technical accounting including tax, treasury and financing structures. They will be excited by the idea of working on a blank canvas and keen to implement processes, improvements and finance controls, to help Fibrenation deliver broadband at the speed of light. Full time
