Interaction Accountancy & Finance currently have an URGENT REQUIREMENT for an ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT (with a strong focus on Cash and Banking Elements) on behalf of our market leading automotive client based in Liverpool, who are seeking to add to their team on a temporary basis, with the assignment lasting until the end of February 2020. To be considered for this position you MUST be Studying AAT / ACA / ACCA / CIMA & IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE Knowledge of Kerridge Software and a background in the Automotive Industry would also be advantageous. Objective of the role: To support the financial integrity of the Balance Sheet, using efficient and effective accounting and reporting processes. Responsibilities : Responsibility for the efficient, accurate and timely reconciliation of the bank statement to the nominal ledger, including the production of routine daily, weekly and month-end reports ensuring compliance with applicable accounting, tax, legislative and other regulatory standards Ownership of allocated bank accounts, ensuring that any reconciling items outside acceptable time-scales have been annotated with clear and decisive action taken to resolve, escalating as necessary Comply with all policies and processes ensuring adherence to the Minimum Control Framework; act as a point of contact for internal and external audit requirements Full accountability and ownership of any allocated Franchise specific serial numbers e.g. a number of retail centres Full accountability and ownership of investigating & resolving internal / external Customer / Supplier issues About you: Part qualified accountant (AAT) Ability to maintain professional integrity even under pressure, understanding when to escalate Able to organise and manage your own workload to consistently deliver to deadlines and work to high standards.
