Pertemps are currently working for a leading Global organisation based in Renfrewshire who are looking for a Full-Time Accounts Assistant. Ideally you will have previous finance experience and be a recent graduate. You will join their established friendly team and have the opportunity to progress within the organisation and work with a client who will support study. The role is paying £20,000 study support. This role offers excellent benefits including great holidays, flexitime and the chance to work with a team who have long service. The company has a large finance team and are ideally looking for candidates who are motivated and ambitious. They will support study for the right candidate. Main duties will include; Review invoices against purchase orders and challenge any irregularities with the purchasing team; Advise purchasing team of any disputed invoices so that they can raise this with suppliers and arrange for credit notes to be issued; Process Engineering invoices on both systems and code accordingly; Ensure Engineering invoices are coded in a timely manner to ensure that payment cut offs are met and that the purchase ledger is closed in line month end reporting timetable; Work with the Purchase Ledger controller to ensure that engineering supplier information is maintained and up to date; Reporting and Analysis Advise the Business Partner of any late, missing invoices or prepaid invoices for month end accrual and prepayment purposes; Filing of engineering invoice documentation in a timely manner; Assisting Engineering Business Partner with day to day analysis; Liaising with the purchasing team and suppliers regarding queries on invoices; Review and code engineering credit card statements on a monthly basis; Monitoring and analysing costs; Assisting colleagues and suppliers with day to day queries; Identify and support any training and development needs for self and team; Any other reasonable duties as required by the department. Skills required; Accountancy qualification or working towards accountancy qualification desirable but not essential; Comfortable working on an integrated accounting package together with a detailed knowledge of core office systems - particularly Excel The client is looking to move quickly so get in touch with Linda Currie or apply on the link below.
