A large, successful corporate UK business based in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking their next rising star - in the shape of a Finance Business Partner - to support and challenge Operations and their support teams, and with a key focus on income. The business is growing substantially, and they need a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) to join their friendly and high-achieving finance team, to help drive and achieve their commercial goals and strategy. The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for: To partner with the business, in particular the debt & data teams, to drive quality analysis and stakeholder management. To understand the business, challenging and interrogating data to identify improvement opportunities. To prepare and present the annual budget to the heads of department, providing rigour and challenge as appropriate. To undertake quarterly forecasts, tracking performance and carrying out trend analysis to update annual budget as appropriate. To undertake monthly variance analysis. To provide robust, forward-looking insight to drive data driven decision making in the business. To prepare, analyse and make improvement recommendations for monthly Income & aged debt. As the successful Finance Business Partner, you will be a fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) and are likely to have significant experience in a commercial finance role, working closely with the operational side of a business to drive improvements. You will need to have high attention to detail and accuracy, and work in an organised and methodical fashion. In person, as this is a business-facing role, we require a people-person who has the ability to build relationships at all levels across the company, someone credible and confident, and an influencer. You will have commercial acumen and understanding how the business functions economically - including key performance indicators to drive future improvements. In return, the successful Finance Business Partner will receive a salary of £50,000, plus a discretionary bonus (company and individual performance based); private healthcare, contributory pension scheme, and other benefits to financially enhance your package.
