Bristol The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Finance team to join our Space business. Due to a recent team change the business now seeks a Project / Management Accountant to join this dynamic and collaborative team. Working with multiple stakeholders such as the Chief Finance Officer, Financial Controller, Bid Managers and Project Managers and Controllers.

Responsibilities:
Ensure that forecast orders, sales and invoicing are updated on both existing and prospect programs. Completion of the Financial elements to support Program Dashboards. Monitoring of project expenditure and delivery on assigned programs. Supporting Program Managers to understand actual costs incurred. Supporting Programme Managers in ensuring costs to completion estimates and estimates at completion (EAC) for programmes are correctly reflected. Proactive in identifying cost savings. Monitoring and reporting on risks associated with Programs. In conjunction with the Financial Controller preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Supporting other finance function requirements - reporting / Audits / Bids as required. Support the month end activities and reporting cycle. Ensure financial integrity and adherence to process (Chorus 2.0). Budgets and forecasts are accurate, achievable and understood by all members of the management team. Skills & Experience We are looking for an individual to have experience of Project Accounting within an engineering/manufacturing background. You will have the ability to interact and communicate complex issues with stakeholders at all levels in a Matrix organization. The right person for the role will be a team player who has the ability to assimilate and analyse technical, financial and commercial information as well as being an expert in Excel. A good working understanding of ERP systems (ideally Oracle) would be an advantage. Desirable While specific knowledge of the French Language is not a prerequisite for this position it would be advantageous to facilitate activities across the Thales Alenia Space business. Qualifications: A professional accounting qualification or part qualified and studying towards related qualification Ideally CIMA or ACCA would be great however experience within Project Accounting is key.
