Orion Group Sciences are looking for a Senior Tax Analyst - Payroll for our multinational pharmaceutical client based in the Berkshire area on an initial 12-month contract with the potential to extend. Job Purpose The Senior Tax Analyst - Payroll works with the country payroll team on all UK payroll tax related matters. The Senior Tax Analyst will focus on supporting the payroll function for businesses of the client, and performing select functional work in a consistent manner, across regions and sectors using technical expertise and sound business partnering. Main Responsibilities of the role Tax Advisory/PAYE Settlement Agreement Manage annual PSA process, completing accurate and timely submission of data to HMRC for all LE's and ensuring payments are made on time. Concur - Monthly expense analysis to support annual declarations. Completed with a view on continuous process improvement and design Short term business visitors - Annual analysis and filings to HMRC for all UK LE's Employment related securities - Annual analysis and filings to HMRC for all UK LE's P11d - Consult with the Payroll team on monthly/annual P11d activities. Ensure accurate and timely submission of data and payment of Class 1a Global mobility support - assistance on monthly global mobility transactions and advisory on all complex assignment for tax and compliance Collaborate with third party tax advisors and the UK payroll team on all UK payroll tax related queries Compliance Assist and coordinate all HMRC employment tax or payroll queries and ensure timely and accurate resolution Support the execution of the SOX Program (404) Support internal audits, external audits (PwC), Pension audits and government audits Maintain up to date knowledge on all UK employment tax changes or critical HMRC updates, attending regular training sessions as required and sharing knowledge with the team and key business partners or stakeholders as necessary Organization Development Identify and drive continuous improvements to processes and procedures Build strong relationships with business partners, ensuring there is effective collaboration with a value creation mindset amongst the teams Drive collaboration and change both within and outside GS organization Desired Experience and Background of the successful candidate Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or accounting or equivalent qualification: Major in Tax Related experience: 2 to 5 years Previous experience in Finance/Tax operations required Experience with employment related taxes desirable Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact skilfully and confidently with internal stakeholders and colleagues to develop ideas, identify opportunities, and influence outcomes An effective team player, with developed communication and negotiation skills to focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with the all stakeholders A clear, fast thinker, problem solver, able to translate business needs into pragmatic solutions and implement them Able to work effectively in a multi-functional, multi-cultural environment and be open to change and the challenges that arise in a fast-moving environment A sense of urgency in solving customer inquiries and requests to ensure timely resolution and an ability to work effectively under pressure Excellent computer skills including Excel and Outlook End-to-end process awareness and attention to upstream and downstream implications Our role in supporting diversity and inclusion As an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
