Our exclusive client is a UK market leading manufacturer that has experienced phenomenal growth over several years. With revenues now exceeding £160 million pa, and aggressive growth plans in place to achieve £200 million over the next 5 years, the business has identified a requirement for a Commercial Finance Manager to join their successful finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller the successful candidate will support commercial and operational activities and work closely with the Sales and Operations Directors providing high quality financial information. There will be a number of projects that this person will lead from a finance perspective to ensure cost saving initiatives are identified and implemented. Other responsibilities will include: Prepare monthly management reports, P&L, stock, capital expenditure and supporting commentary. Support commercial costings project identifying area of improvement of margin programme. Provide commercial support and analysis around new products and services. Deliver external insight into business performance and competitor analysis. Provide concise operational accounting information surrounding factory performance. Forge close working relationships across the business, providing support and challenging in order to deliver site commitments. Support in the continued expansion plans of the organisation as it looks to secure new markets. The candidate: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a background of academic achievement. The desire to create and develop their own role within a growth hungry organisation. Strong data extraction and analysis skills combined with decision making support to operations. Able to evaluate financial information and objectively interpret data to establish the key facts and use this insight to shape decision making and create innovation. High levels of drive and ambition and the ability to progress upwards within the business. A successful track record in a commercial / operational finance role within a relevant business, ideally food, retail or FMCG. Understanding of supply chain and stock management principles. Warm and engaging character with the ability to work with a broad range of senior stakeholders and integrate themselves within a close-knit business. Excellent Excel capabilities. Ability to thrive within an SME culture.
