Job Details

The role as a Commercial Analyst is newly evolved due to expansive projects that are taking place in the new year. This position invovlesinvovles making business decisions around how best to allocate funds, spanning across efficiency and expenditure analysis.

Client Details

The client is a large facilities management company that is looking for a couple of commercial analyst's that are of a relatively junior nature. The company boasts expansions and evolvementevolvement over the years and it boasts an inclusive and warm working environment.

Description

The key responsibilities span across Cash Recovery, Supplier overpaymentoverpayment analysis and recovery, Proactive micro spend management and Cost Reduction including:

  • Proactive Client debt recovery activities
  • Creating interest invoices
  • Recovering aged debt in conjunction with Operations
  • Implementing account level payment and escalation programs
  • Audit payments to see where charges are inconsistent with contract, frameworks or appropriate for works undertaken
  • Purchase card spend approvals
  • Identify cost recovery from customers
  • Divisional rebate collections
  • Approving PO value increase requests
  • Ensure that the supplier payment process is as smooth as possible through more effective PO management
  • Cost workbook analysis and challenge
  • Communications workbook analysis and challenge
  • Travel booking office
  • Plant hire process management including rent or buy assessment
  • Overtime, agency, allowance analysis and challenge
  • Implementation of policy and governance as directed by central Procurement Team.
  • Influencing category management approach
  • Appropriate "Buy or Make" decision processes
  • Supplier cost reduction through effective scoping and procurement
  • Service improvement through accurate contract scopes, service levels agreement and KPIs
  • KPIsRisk mitigation through sensible risk transfer strategies
  • Sub contract compliance through effective supplier management processes

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • No education level required - just need to be switched on
  • Excellent communicator
  • Excellent financial acumen with an ability to analyse complex data and documentation with accuracy
  • Experience of negotiation with internal and external stakeholders at various levels on commercial issues
  • Understanding of risk analysis/management
  • PC Literate with knowledge of MS applications e.g. Word, Excel

Job Offer

  • A salary in or around the £25k - £32k mark depending on experience
