Description

Month End Close & reporting:

  • Manage month end close activities and timetable for all responsible companies.
  • Manage year end close activities and timetable for all responsible companies.
  • Prepare monthly reports & complete the pack
  • Preparation of responsible reconciliations for approval by Senior Manager Corporate Accounting
  • Review of responsible reconciliations prepared by Corporate Accounting Assistant
  • Review of fixed assets balance sheet control account reconciliation
  • Maintain integrity of assets in fixed assets registe
  • Manage physical inventory of assets
  • Create new assets in fixed assets register
  • Run monthly depreciation routine

Financial Governance:

  • Maintain accounting and reporting procedures.
  • Ensure transactions on hold/incomplete and open PO/Requisitions are being completed in a timely fashion
  • Finance System Super user for respective areas

Statutory Accounts:

  • Prepare the annual statutory accounts & disclosures for responsible companies in accordance with local GAAP
  • Prepare corporate tax information for tax disclosures in the statutory accounts for responsible companies
  • Prepare and provide information for external auditor as and when required

Management Accounts:

  • Produce management accounts reports for review and approval of Senior Manager Corporate Accounting
  • Ensure up to date analysis maintained for key general ledger profit and loss accounts
  • Review of GL coding of all purchase transactions to ensure consistent with budgets and that they are correctly allocated
  • General Ledger:

  • Approval of general ledger journals
  • Calculation of monthly accruals and account reconciliation, including Receipt Accounting routines
  • Maintain monthly foreign exchange rates
  • Run foreign currency revaluation routine in general ledger and post
  • Manage inter-divisional postings and reconciliation
  • Completion of the monthly General Account Statement & Settlement
  • Approve General Account Statement & Settlement
  • Prepare monthly salary GL journal posting
  • Prepare monthly salary control account reconciliation
  • Management of accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Profile

    The successful candidate will be:

    • Studying ACCA, CIMA or ACA and at least part qualified
    • Understanding of the principles and application of VAT with regards to invoices
    • Sound accounting technical knowledge, including basic understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP financial reporting standards
    • Advanced knowledge in the use of financial software applications
    • Advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office products (especially MS Excel and MS Word)
