Payroll Specialist Requisition ID ( 19013007 ) Primary Location Costa Rica-San Jose-San Jose de Costa Rica Job Function Human Resources & Talent Management Description To prepare and process Costa Rica, Colombia and Puerto Ricos payroll, review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets, track and deduct all taxes and other special payroll deductions. Responsibilities Collect, compile, enter and process all the inputs in payroll systems (PeopleSoft and ADP) for Costa Rica Colombia and Puerto Rico. Facilitate to employees and third parties the payroll calendars every pay period. Prepare and process contractors payroll through third party Send to Costa Ricas payroll vendor the inputs for every pay period. Send to Colombias payroll vendor the reports of bank file, voluntary pension, social security and GL. Send to Colombias employees the social security certificate. Coordinate efforts between Human Resources, Finance Department, third parties and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data for Costa Rica, Colombia and Puerto Rico. Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures while keeping information confidential. Responsible to maintain the payroll procedures updated for internal and external audits Process new employees, terminations, transfers, promotions and awards. Provide customer service for all the employees and managers regarding payroll process Review the final payments (Liquidaciones) for former employees and work directly with the finance department to process the payment. Audit the payroll report and the final payment of the employees and third parties, every pay period (Costa Rica). Create and keep the Oracle Betsy system updated (Costa Rica and Puerto Rico). Create and keep the CVDH system updated (Costa Rica). Create and keep the CWT (Travel) system updated (Costa Rica). Review main vendors invoices (Costa Rica). Facilitate new hires on boarding presentation related to payroll guidelines and policies Requirements Education Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance Strong written English and Spanish skills. At least 2 years of experience handling Costa Rican payroll reports and rules and regulations required by law.
