Description Job Title Assistant VP - Operations Excellence Location Noida The role will primarily be focusing on Operations Excellence reporting to the VP - Ops Excellence The role holder will be focused on delivering operations excellence for the Procurement team through streamlining operations, continuous improvement, and building a best in class control environment for the team by way on identifying opportunities to Standardise, eliminate and automate the process thereby enabling efficiency saves for the organisation. In addition, the individual will be responsible to work closely with the Head of Procurement Operations on various strategic initiatives including long range plan, end state model, etc. The role will entail taking end to end ownership and accountability of issues. This will encompass, but is not limited to, appropriately addressing necessary escalations and partnering closely with the various teams (e.g. Sourcing managers, Risk and Control, Internal Audit, IT and Change teams), or Stakeholders to deliver services and resolve issues in a robust and disciplined manner. What will you be doing? Work with the Operations Team to define business problems and develop clear, communicable and concise strategies to address opportunities and issues Translate the business strategy into executable plans and see these plans through to implementation. Focus on process simplification by performing end-to-end reviews that will help eliminate, standardize and automate processes thereby providing opportunity to deploy bots and drive automation etc. Develop and incubate process Leads / SMEs to manage operations as well as facilitate design discussions and implementation. Lead a team and understand the operational processes, controls and policies underpinning the use of the system, the systems business objectives, and opportunities for improvement. Gather MI and feedback on system performance, its fit with business requirements, and compliance with relevant processes and procedures. Coordinate effectively with other teams within Purchase to Pay including the Service Desk, Payments, Global Vendor Hub, Operations/Data management teams to gather feedback on requirements/proposed changes and provide advanced information/training etc with regards to changes, system releases etc. Provide root cause analysis to support lessons learnt, lead initiatives to improve process compliance and system usage across the P2P landscape and stakeholder groups. To appropriately probe and question requirements, drawing on SMEs as required to ensure alignment of requirements to overall strategic and project objectives and good business practice. Provide Project Management capability to setup, manage and control Lean projects throughout their lifecycle. Understand and apply the principles of Change Management to ensure projects are technically sound and that the acceptance of change is optimised. Allocate resources in an effective manner that ensures project delivery, while developing skills and experience of the people on the project, including day-to-day people management tasks Monitoring & control - use of resources and funds against the original budget; implement robust change control mechanisms; provide regular and accurate progress reports to stakeholders Accurate and relevant status reporting across the overall programme (schedule, budget, etc). Ensure sound and clear project status reporting and issue log tracking to support project management process controls and effective communication to Working Groups and Steering Committees are in place Work closely with other Project Managers within the Global Sourcing function and across the firm to ensure that cross-geography / functions risks and issues are understood with coordinated plan to resolve Communication of changes to relevant teams with appropriate guides and training materials if require Create Business Continuity Plan and adhere to regular testing What were looking for Understanding of P2P cycle and relevant years of working experience in P2P specific projects Experience in Lean Six Sigma, Project and change management Expert knowledge of MS Office, primarily in advanced PPT and Excel capabilities Should be able to turn around quickly presentations for leadership Undergraduate degree in Business / Finance or equivalent practical experience Well organised and be able to prioritise tasks, using judgement to manage/escalate issues Good interpersonal/stakeholder management skills and ability to interact at all levels Pragmatic with a logical and flexible approach to problem resolution Develops effective peer and working relationships within/across teams Leverages understanding of customers / suppliers / stakeholders to inform business decisions Good commercial awareness with an understanding of the financial services industry Skills that will help you in the role A professional accounting qualification/MBA/Engineer will be an added advantage Working experience in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence preferred Knowledge or working experience on SAP, COUPA, Qlikview or other Source to Pay systems Where will you be working?
